Nebraska State Patrol troopers seized 114 pounds of marijuana in an I-80 traffic stop near Lincoln. A trooper observed a 2018 Ford Expedition following too closely to the vehicle in front of it at approximately 9:20 a.m. Monday. When the SUV was pulled over near mile marker 397, the trooper smelled the odor of marijuana. A subsequent search uncovered several duffel bags filled with vacuum-sealed marijuana and two dextroamphetamine pills.

Omaha Police were called to investigate a walk-in shooting victim just before midnight Friday at Nebraska Medical Center. The victim, Abraham Aguirre, 25, told officers her was walking west on 35th and Leavenworth Streets when he was shot in the knee. Aguirre said he was shot by a black male who was heading eastbound at the time.
