Omaha Fire Department was called to the area of Q Street and Deauville Drive for an injury accident involving a pedestrian. OFD medics transported an approximately 11 year old male who was riding a scooter and got hit by a car Code 3 Trauma

Omaha Fire Department was called to a house fire near S 5th Street and William Street. OFD crews observed smoke on approach of a single story house and declared a working fire. The fire was declared under control at 8:30 p.m. The house was reportedly vacant and no injuries were reported.

Omaha Police reported a fully involved structure fire at 1876 S 74th Street. A working fire and second alarm was called right away due to the additional information from OPD. OFD conducted several rescues of occupants. Three patients have so far been transported, two in critical condition. Several other patients have been checked out and cleared by medics on scene. The fire was under control after 20 minutes. Crews will remain on scene to check for hot spots, do overhaul after fire investigators work through the scene.

41-year-old man identified as victim of deadly shooting in south Omaha, police say

Omaha Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Thursday night. Officers were called shortly after 8 p.m. to the area of 6700 S 28th St for a shooting. A man was found dead with a gunshot wound when officers arrived. The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
