Omaha Fire Department was called to a house fire near S 5th Street and William Street. OFD crews observed smoke on approach of a single story house and declared a working fire. The fire was declared under control at 8:30 p.m. The house was reportedly vacant and no injuries were reported.

1 week ago Omaha Police reported a fully involved structure fire at 1876 S 74th Street. A working fire and second alarm was called right away due to the additional information from OPD. OFD conducted several rescues of occupants. Three patients have so far been transported, two in critical condition. Several other patients have been checked out and cleared by medics on scene. The fire was under control after 20 minutes. Crews will remain on scene to check for hot spots, do overhaul after fire investigators work through the scene.
